“ The sushi here was very good for Long Island. The sashimi was fresh, it did not taste fishy at all. The toro was perfectly smooth, velvety and tastes so fresh. The rolls were great and had a nice spicy kani taste. The service was great too, we were greeted upon arrival and had a nice convo with our waiter who told us to come back soon. Definitely felt like a family when you entered and talked with waiters. The only thing I didn't like was the mango in the tuna seared tuna special was a little unopened, so it was very tart and a little grainy. Aside from that everything was fabulous! Great spot for a small quick date night and also a great friends get together. The place isn't huge but it was perfect for me and my finances date night. ”

“ Fantastic sushi. And they have the high end fish that's hard to get outside of Manhattan and LA, like bluefin Otoro (see pic). Also today, they had a few different types of wild salmon, the one I had was amazing and Frankie explained how they prepared it using a very traditional method involving lemon and brine. Gave it a fantastic flavor. I ordered another 6, right after trying it. Also great we're the fresh scallops and sweet shrimp - also harder to find nowadays than they used to be. Tip: call one or two days before you go and ask Frankie what special things he'll be getting in. Like the toro and live scallops. He has solid connections at Fulton market and gets the good stuff but it depends on the day. ”
